Specialized Loan Servicing - Holding SLS Accountable
The best way to deal with SLS, I've found, is to use your bank's online bill payment service, if you have one available. Even if you can ever get it to work at all, the SLS online bill payment website is unreliable.
My PNC online bill payment service is free, and makes it impossible for them to pretend a payment was late or never arrived.
If you think SLS doesn't care what you think, you're right. You're not their customer: Wells Fargo is. And Wells Fargo doesn't care coz the're already in deep *** and they just wanted to unload their mortgage servicing responsibilities for cheap.
So SLS scams everyone, runs up bogus fees, ruins your credit, and makes it difficult or impossible for you to go elsewhere to re-finance. Now you're a captive audience, and they can continue to do whatever they want. Seriously, their employees get bonuses for foreclosing on people.
But if you'd like to try to hold SLS accountable, you might want to post your story at several Facebook websites of their parent company ComputerShare. ComputerShare customers aren't captive-- they have a choice!-- So ComputerShare at least tries to look like they care what their customers think.
They'll almost certainly remove your post, but probably not before at least some potential customers see it: https://www.facebook.com/ComputershareCPU/ https://www.facebook.com/computersharevoucherservices/
